Looking to farm Baba Shop Treasure to get that new Super Saiyan 2 Goku (Angel)? Read this post and I will show you the very best stage in Dokkan Battle to farm Baba Shop Treasure! No joke!
Have you checked out the new Dokkan Battle Treasure section of Baba’s shop? Dokkan Battle Treasure is used to purchase characters, Elder Kai(s), Awakening Medals, and more. But it can be tricky and annoying to gather Dokkan Battle Treasure if you do not know where to look for it. But that’s why you’re here, right? Let’s talk about how to farm Dokkan Battle Treasure!
Most Dokkan Battle treasure, as we were taught, are tiny little spaces that you must roll and land on. Once you land on that space, you are only given 1 “Gem”. So imagine how long it will take to obtain 777 of these Gems to purchase the new SSR INT SSJ2 Gohan!
Area 16 – Reunited: Stage 8 – Ending of the Body Exchange
See that little guy waiting in front of Captain Ginyu? That’s Pilaf. Defeat him and he will grant you 10 Gems, or Treasure. Combine that with around 3 Gem from defeating Captain Ginyu, and the 1 to 4 Gems you could pick up around the map and you can get anywhere from 10 to 20 Gem per Stage Clear! Update: After farming this stage hundreds of times, I have yet to see any individual pieces of Dokkan Battle Treasure on this map. It appears as though Pilaf is the only extra treasure that you can gather from this stage.
It is best to run this on Z-Hard, as the drop rates are obviously higher when the difficulty is higher, but keep in mind your types when running this map. Pilaf is Extreme AGI type, but quite weak. Captain Ginyu, on the other hand, is Extreme INT. So I advise you get your powerful team with a few extra Awakened PHY characters to help give and receive the damage!
The stage that I recommend you farm is Ending of the Body Exchange, which is in Area 16 (Reunited). So you will want to make sure that you have completed all of the quests under “Distorted Destiny”. On the bright side, if your goal is just to farm treasure right now and you are having difficulty completing some of the quests in and after the area “Reunited”, you will only need to focus on one of these areas.
The very last quest under the first of the three new stages, “Reunited” is called “Ending of the Body Exchange”. This stage’s boss battle is against one villain — Captain Ginyu. As mentioned before, he is Extreme INT type, but only on Hard and Z-Hard. While he is actually quite difficult to defeat without using any items, the good news is that unlike many of the other stages, you only need to defeat him for the final battle.
Many of the new stages are quite difficult even on Hard difficulty. The bosses are constantly launching their super attacks, and simply hitting hard and taking immense amounts of damage. But for farming gems, we are not worried about those bosses.
The first thing that I would recommend, if you do not plan on defeating all stages on all difficulties just yet, is clear all stages through “Distorted Destiny”. After you have done that, the area “Reunited” will be unlocked. You do not have to beat every stage on every difficulty, but you must clear each stage on at least Normal to unlock the following stage.
Pilaf can hit pretty hard, with normal attacks over 10k – He typically uses a super attack the second round
I will openly admit that I have not gone through every single stage to test the drop rate or the drop value of Pilaf. But I have gone through multiple stages, checked multiple websites such as Reddit and other threading websites to search for answers. Unfortunately, none were conclusive enough. Here’s what I have learned:
Pilaf apparently has the potential to appear on almost any stage in or beyond the area “Reunited”. But, having played most of the stages, and having cleared them on every difficulty, I have found the most success with the stage mentioned earlier (Ending of the Body Exchange).
Some have stated that they heard, or believe, that the more you play a stage, the less likely it is that Pilaf will appear. I find this to be false in the case of this stage. I found these theories to be possibly true in the case of other stages, such as the first stage that I farmed for gems, “Saiyan Trio”, which is also in the Reunited area. At first, it seemed as though 1 in 3 times I would enter the stage “Saiyan Trio” I would be able to battle Pilaf. But the size of the stage and the decreasing drop rate would soon become tedious.
As mentioned, I tried out many many stages, and finally have found that as of right now, “Ending of the Body Exchange” has a fantastic drop rate of Pilaf (about 2 out of 3 for me), and the stage’s layout makes it near impossible to not be able to land on Pilaf’s tile.
Here is my final advice:
- Do not build a team to defeat Pilaf. Build your team to defeat Captain Ginyu.
- Pilaf is weak, count your tiles and get an idea for where he is on the map.
- When you are far from Pilaf on the map, use large number until you get close to him. Then use your low numbers to guarantee that you land on him.
- Pick a friend that will help you better defeat Ginyu, not Pilaf. Great choices would be Super Gogeta or any Awakened (preferably max level) PHY character.
