Hopeless Minus Energy Omega Shenron is the latest mono God character to arrive in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle. He, of course, received his own Super Difficulty event, which can be found by going to Events > The Shadow Dragons of Despair > 2. The Strongest Shadow Dragon.
While Dokkan Battle provides us with a small tip for defeating this insanely difficult Dokkan Event, the information provided is not quite enough to make it through The Strongest Shadow Dragon and defeat Omega Shenron without using any Dragon Stones.
I will not say that this is the best way to beat Omega Shenron, but I will tell you that after playing this stage multiple times that I have yet to use any Dragon Stones with my chosen team comp. I will also say that in most cases, I use at most: 2 Senzu Bean and 2 Dende.
Dokkan Battle tells us that it’s recommended that we bring characters with the link sill “GT”
I also recommend that you bring characters with the link skill GT (Which gives linked characters Ki +2). Before you go forming a GT team, keep reading. This event is one of the most difficult that I have come across because there are multiple battles. None of which are easy, either.
The GT Link Skill allows you to do tons of damage on the final stage of The Strongest Shadow Dragon, where you face two forms of Omega Shenron
The reason that it is highly recommended that you bring characters with the link skill “GT” is because of the fact that, like many other Dokkan Battle Events, this link skill does much more than grant linked characters Ki +2.
Dokkan Battle has it set up to where Omega Shenron receives much more damage when characters with the GT link skill are both linked and attacking.
Onto the recommendation…
In order to defeat the Omega Shenron Event on Super Difficulty, I recommend that you bring a mono AGL team
This may seem strange, due to the fact that Super Vegito does not possess the GT link skill, but the final form of Omega Shenron is Extreme STR. Add to that the insane amounts of HP, ATK and DEF that is provided with Super Vegito as the leader and the friend, and you have a pretty hefty team.
This strategy is also very effective due to Super Vegito’s ability to block, as well as dish out tons of during the boss battles in The Strongest Shadow Dragon that are not Omega Shenron (in which there are a few).
Let’s break down the full stage and boss battles in Dokkan Battle’s Omega Shenron Event, The Shadow Dragons of Despair > 2. The Strongest Shadow Dragon
When you first enter the stage, you will notice multiple transfer points. These will transfer you closer to the first boss. There is no avoiding any of these bosses, but there are different first bosses depending on where you transport at. Collect as much Ki as possible before transporting.
From my experience, the closer transport spots bring you to an Extreme INT boss (Confidence and Earthquake Naturon Shenron).
The others bring you to an Extreme AGL boss (Domination of the Atmosphere Oceanus Shenron). Both are neutral to your mono AGL team, therefore I do not think that either battle will benefit you more over the other.
Neither of these bosses should be a problem for you. It’s the battle that follows which can greatly upset you.
The first difficult battle is versus an Extreme TEQ and Extreme INT boss. This is where you will most likely use defensive items.
The trickiest part with this event, at least for me, is Nuova Shenron due to having Type Advantage to our Mono AGL team. For that matter, I suggest that you nuke Eis Shenron first, as he is much easier to defeat and will help reduce the overall damage taken.
Until you defeat Eis Shenron, who is Extreme INT, I would recommend using a defensive item such as Whis (Damage received reduced by 40% for 2 turns) or Icarus (Damage received reduced by 35% for 2 turns). This will allow you to take out Eis Shenron and begin to focus Nuova Shenron.
Believe me when I say that once you make it through this battle, the rest is quite easy with a mono AGL team.
The Final Battle of The Strongest Shadow Dragon – The First Boss is Syn Shenron
Syn Shenron (shown above) is Extreme PHY type. He has four health bars, and is the first boss to be susceptible to damage dealt by characters with the link skill “GT”. I would recommend that for this battle, you use Super Vegito to block. His counter attack still does decent damage (typically above 50k) and he can take Super Attacks quite well.
Side Note: Though Super Vegito does not have the GT link skill, his super attack still deals decent damage and still grants ATK up for the other characters in the turn.
That being said, I recommend you launch Super Vegito’s super attack only if it will not prevent GT linked characters from being able to launch their super attacks.
Now for the very last battle – Omega Shenron, the Final Boss of the Omega Shenron Dokkan Battle Event
If you have made it this far, congratulations! If you are running a mono AGL team, as recommended, this battle will be extremely easy. One thing that I have noticed is that Dokkan Battle set this stage up (probably not intentionally) to where your Dokkan Meter is filled right after this battle begins.
Make sure that you give the Dokkan Attack to a character linked with the GT Link Skill, at all costs.
This is your golden opportunity to do a massive amount of damage to Hopeless Minus Energy Omega Shenron. That and you will see what I mean about this being the easiest battle of The Strongest Shadow Dragon.
Omega Shenron will have five health bars, but against a Mono AGL team will deal little damage. Bringing a mono AGL team, with some characters that share the GT link skill will allow you to tank Omega Shenron fairly easily, and also deal a ton of damage.
Here are the recommended items to beating the Dokkan Battle Omega Shenron Event The Strongest Shadow Dragon:
- Senzu Bean – Recover all HP and remove all allies’ status effects
- Dende – Recover all HP and remove all allies’ status effects
- Whis – Damage received reduced by 40% for 2 turns
- Ghost Usher – Delay all opponent attacks for 1 turn
