We are going to discuss how to defeat SSJ4 Gogeta on Super Difficulty
While there is an option to challenge SSJ4 Gogeta on Z-Hard difficulty, it will simply cost you way too much time and stamina. For that reason, we are going to focus on how to clear the stage The Ultimate Super Gogeta on Super Difficulty.
The Z-Hard difficulty of Unrivaled Ultimate Fusion will drop 3 of the Dokkan Awakening medal Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. The Super Difficulty drops 7 of these same Dokkan Awakening medals.
It is going to take 77 of these Dokkan Awakening medals to Dokkan Awaken The Supreme Fusion Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta into Peerless Gleam Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta.
Only one path will allow you to obtain Ki
When you enter the stage The Ultimate Super Gogeta in the event Unparalleled Ultimate Fusion, you will see two paths: left and right. The left path, if you take it, will have medals that can be picked up. The right path will have Ki tiles.
I would recommend that you take the right path, and even scope out the transport areas so that you know which numbers to hold onto. Before getting to the fight against SSJ4 Gogeta, you will be transported multiple times. Each time, there will one or two Ki tiles.
Most teams that I will recommend to defeat SSJ4 Gogeta in Dokkan battle will not have the best Ki linking skills. There will be a decent amount of Ki obtainable from dual leaders and some will link well, but it would still be wise to collect as much Ki prior to facing SSJ4 Gogeta as possible.
Round 1 of The Ultimate Super Gogeta – SSJ4 Goku
Once you make it to the boss battle of The Ultimate Super Gogeta, you will have a couple of trials to make it through before fighting SSJ4 Gogeta. The first will be SSJ4 Goku. This will be the easiest part of defeating SSJ4 Gogeta on Super Difficulty.
SSJ4 Goku is his pre-Dokkan Awakened form and is a pretty quick fight with almost any team suggested. He can be stunned, hence why I bring Warrior’s True Value Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta.
Round 2 – SSJ4 Vegeta Joins the Fight
SSJ4 Vegeta makes his grand entrance after you defeat round 1: SSJ4 Goku alone. After making some classic Vegeta wise-cracks, SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta work together without their fusion to try and take you down.
The difficulty with this stage is that SSJ4 Vegeta is AGL and SSJ4 Goku is STR. This makes for a slight struggle with a MONO STR team, due to the fact that AGL is type advantage over STR. That being said, there are a couple of strategies that work well here.
First, I recommend keeping SSJ4 Vegeta at bay with your stun character. This will allow you to quickly take out SSJ4 Goku for a second time, followed by focusing on SSJ4 Vegeta.
Alternatively, you could focus SSJ4 Vegeta first. This strategy will work well if you do not have a way to block his attacks and/or keep him stun-locked. Taking SSJ4 Vegeta out first is also beneficial to help reduce the amount of overall damage taken from having the type disadvantage.
Note: SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta have around 1 Million HP each.
Round 3 – The Supreme Fusion Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta
Here is where the fun begins. Round 3 of The Ultimate Super Gogeta is where you first go head to head with SSJ4 Gogeta. During this round, you will face off against The Supreme Fusion Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta.
In this round, SSJ4 Gogeta can not be stunned. On top of that, he has a damage reduction skill that currently cannot be nullified. With that, I try to bring at least one character who can greatly lower DEF. This helps you with dishing out enough damage to SSJ4 Gogeta to defeat him without using any Dragon Stones.
During this round, tanks like STR SSJ3 Vegeta are still useful, though SSJ4 Gogeta cannot be stunned. They can still tank quite well and will help you to save items for the final and most difficult round.
The primary strategy I recommend here is tank where you can, and save Ki for your characters that can dish out the best damage. My mono STR team has Planet of Steel Meta-Rilldo, who is great for both tanking and reducing damage dealt. Often times, I will let him and Hopeless Minus Energy Omega Shenron get their super attacks first, to lower ATK and DEF.
The Final Battle – Round 4 – Peerless Gleam Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta
At this point, you may be wondering “How do I take out all of that HP?” Well, it can be done. Defeating SSJ4 Gogeta is definitely not easy, but it is definitely possible to do so without using any Dragon Stones.
According to the Dokkan Battle Wikia, SSJ4 Gogeta on Round 4 of Level 1: The Ultimate Super Gogeta yields a massive 3.5 million HP! On top of that, SSJ4 Gogeta will be attacking you an average of 5 times per turn.
While this may be scaring you, keep in mind that we build our teams with purpose. We will put together teams that are able to get us here with little items used and allow us to put in the work necessary once we get to the tough battles.
This fight against SSJ4 Gogeta will make you really appreciate the utility of characters that can lower ATK and DEF. Getting attacked non-stop by SSJ4 Gogeta and taking insane amounts of damage from even normal attacks makes you appreciate characters that can dish out damage, tank, and provide great utility so much more.
Note: SSJ3 Vegeta’s ability to tank gets diminished greatly here. He will take full damage from Normal attacks but will take reduced damage (still up to 80k) from SSJ4 Gogeta’s super attacks.
Team Building to Fight SSJ4 Gogeta in Dokkan Battle on Super Difficulty
As mentioned above, I have had great success using mono STR teams. Whether you use dual Broly, dual SSJ4 Goku, or even Dual STR Omega Shenron, mono STR is a great option when taking on SSJ4 Gogeta in Dokkan Battle.
Let’s start by dissecting the team above:
I recommend using this chart to help you understand what type of characters offer utility and what roles you will want to bring with you. This team is a great example of how to create a team of characters that can tank, dish out damage, lead, and offer great secondary utility such as lowering ATK and DEF.
Silent Rivalry Paikuhan is a fantastic substitute for STR Meta-Riildo, as he greatly lowers ATK and has the Shocking Speed link skill which provides +2 Ki when linked with Omega Shenron and SSJ4 Goku.
Running dual SSJ4 Goku works well when you carry primarily Super-Type STR characters, as they receive +120% HP, ATK & DEF on top of +3 Ki. Also, SSJ4 Goku’s super attack (x10 Kamehameha) increases his DEF by 30% for 6 turns and he has a medium chance to counter the Super Attacks of Super Gogeta. Oh, SSJ4 Goku also hits like a truck.
My preferred option, as I tend to run a few Extreme Type STR characters it to run dual LR Broly. This allows every character to get +3 Ki, and +90% HP, ATK & DEF. I suggest you find what works best for you, and make the most of it. We all have different boxes, so some experimenting may need to be done to find your best team.
Here is a video of me bringing a mono STR team to defeat SSJ4 Gogeta in Dokkan Battle:
Mono INT works well, but may not be the best option
Personally, I found that a mono-INT team is a bit more difficult to put together. Part of the reason is that I was not as fortunate as many when Buuhan first came out. It took me quite some time to obtain Countdown to Despair Majin Buu (Ultimate Gohan).
This means that I did not put time into maxing out Buuhan’s super attack, or even using the Dupe System to boost his stats. The same can be said for many of my other INT-type characters. That being said, however, many players are able to put together great INT-based teams, and may find it to be a longer, but more efficient battle.
Running a mono INT team will assure that you can efficiently block against SSJ4 Gogeta. If you have put the time into developing your INT characters, like Buuhan, SSJ Bardock (Seals Super Attack) and SSGSS Vegeta, you may in fact see more value in a mono INT team against SSJ4 Gogeta.
Here’s an example of a mono INT team that can defeat SSJ4 Gogeta in Dokkan Battle:
As you can see, a well-thought-out mono INT team offers great damage, utility, and allows for type advantage against SSJ4 Gogeta. As mentioned before, we all have different characters so it would be best to use this guide as a reference versus a specific how-to.
I say this because while you may have some of the same characters listed here, you may not have put the time into leveling them or their abilities. For example, I personally prefer to bring SSJ Bardock for his sealing ability (yes, you CAN seal the super attack of SSJ4 Gogeta) and SSGSS Vegeta for his ability to raise his ATK for 3 turns when he uses his Super Attack.
One thing that is very important to note with bringing a mono INT team to battle SSJ4 Gogeta is that LR Gohan is an absolute wrecking crew. His ultimate Super Attack hits insanely hard, and he can tank very well. I personally do not own him, but would not attempt this stage without bringing him as a friend.
Here is a video of me bringing a mono INT team to battle against SSJ4 Gogeta in Dokkan Battle:
You will notice that in the video above, it takes me quite some time to defeat SSJ4 Gogeta on Super Difficulty, especially in comparison to my mono STR team. This is due to, as mentioned before, my lack of focus on INT characters. That being said, it was a pretty stress-free battle, even though I did use my items generously.
Mono type teams seem to work best against SSJ4 Gogeta, so use this guide to assist you in battle
If you want to try bringing other mono-type teams, keep in mind the key points that we discussed in this post:
- Bring characters that offer a synergy of utility, damage, tanking, etc.
- Make sure that your friend and leader work well to boost your team’s stats as best as you can
- Make sure to balance your damage with your utility. You don’t want a team of nukes that can’t tank or reduce the stats of SSJ4 Gogeta
Recommended items to help you defeat SSJ4 Gogeta in Dokkan Battle on Super Difficulty
While I have had great success defeating SSJ4 Gogeta on Super Difficulty without using any Dragon Stones, I would be lying if I told you that it was without the use of any items. Not that it is impossible, but it something that I have yet to accomplish.
Onto the items we recommend you bring when battling SSJ4 Gogeta in Dokkan Battle:
- – Senzu Bean – Always a great option, as they restore 100% of your HP and remove any negative status affects.
- – Dende – Same as Senzu Bean, restores HP fully. Great item to have, as you will probably need to restore HP more than anything else.
- – Ghost Usher – Delays the attack(s) of your enemy for one turn. Keep in mind that if a Super Attack was about to happen on the turn that you Ghost Usher, it will simply be delayed until the next turn. Also, remember that you cannot use Ghost Usher two turns in a row.
- – Whis – Damage received reduced by 40% for 2 turns
- – King Yemma – Reduces damage received by 50% for 1 turn
There are other options for items usable when fighting SSJ4 Gogeta, but use what we have listed as your guide. Like with most events, you will usually find it easiest to defeat SSJ4 Gogeta with two items that heal your HP fully, as well as two items that offer some form of utility. I personally have had success with Senzu Bean, Dende, Icarus (Reduces damage by 35% for 2 turns) or Baba (seals super attack for 1 turn), and Ghost Usher or King Yemma.
